The Bills acted quickly Friday signing Kurt Coleman when they found out safety Rafael Bush decided to retire just days before the open of training camp.
Bush started seven games for Buffalo last season (his ninth in the NFL) and finished with 44 tackles.

Coleman instantly fills the void Bush left as a veteran safety familiar with the Bills’ defensive system, led by head coach Sean McDermott, who coached Coleman during their time with the Panthers.
Coleman is entering his 10th NFL season after spending just one year with the Saints, who signed him to a three-year, $16.5 million contract last offseason before deciding to release him after a lackluster 2018.
He appeared in all 16 of New Orleans’ regular-season games with nine starts but played only three defensive snaps in two postseason games.
