Jarvis Landry's touchdown celebration last Sunday against the Patriots turned out to be a costly one.
The NFL issued two fines to the Dolphins receiver for his actions, a $24,309 fine for Landry grabbing his crotch, and an additional $24,309 for slamming down his helmet a few seconds later. Even for a professional athlete, $48,618 is a hefty sum. Overthecap.com reports Landry earns an average of $868,727 per year under his current contract.

Landry wasn't the only player to pay for his transgressions in Week 17. NBC Sports reports that the league fined Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount $18,231 for grabbing Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh’s facemask. USA Today reports Packers receiver Davante Adams was fined $12,154 for dunking over the crossbar.
One notable omission on the fines list: Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was not fined for snatching a chain off Raiders receiver Michael Crabtree's neck.
