NBC affiliate KPNX will have Welter contribute to its Sunday night sports show during the NFL season, following "Football Night in America," and also to other sportscasts throughout the week, news director Sandra Kotzambasis told ESPN.
"We're excited to have Jen share her unique perspective and expertise with our audience, both on-air and with articles on 12News.com," Kotzambasis wrote in an email. "I'm excited to see what Jen has to say each week. She's already proven that she is a natural on-air, but more importantly, incredibly knowledgeable about the game."
Welter's internship covered training camp and the preseason, during which time she worked with Cardinals inside linebackers and earned strong reviews. Her last day was Aug. 31.
