The Jets have been finding ways to lose all season long, but Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Raiders might just be all the proof fans need that New York is in full tank mode.
Up 28-24 with 13 seconds left, the Jets somehow decided to leave Las Vegas speedster Henry Ruggs in one-on-one coverage with undrafted rookie corner Lamar Jackson, with absolutely no help over the top.

Look closer. There were only three Jets defenders back in coverage on the play, with the other eight sent on a zero blitz, on third-and-10 from midfield, when the Raiders needed a touchdown. How strange is that play call? Well, the Jets are the first team to rush eight players on a play in the last 30 seconds of a game this season, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was pretty shocked to see the Jets go with a full blitz.
"I couldn’t believe they all-out blitzed us. I was thankful," he said.

Some fans were demanding answers from Jets coach Adam Gase, who didn't seem to have much of an explanation for the play call by defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.
Gase says Gregg Williams felt he could pressure Carr on last play. Felt he had success with pressure though the game. Frankly, Gase seemed at a loss to explain it. #Jets

Jets safety Marcus Maye said New York "should have been in a better play call."
"We have to execute, but you have to help us out at the same time," Maye said.
NFL DRAFT ORDER: Jets still No. 1 after last-minute loss
Fans around the league were ready to call it for what it looked like: blatant tanking.
