The 2020 NFL Draft is almost upon us. More attention is being paid to this event than ever due to the complete absence of major sports in America, and the draft is expected to set record ratings. Millions of football fans will tune in to get a football fix they have been craving for almost three months, and many of those fans will get their first glimpse at the players expected to make immediate impacts on their teams. The increased attention being paid to this year’s event has led to sportsbooks posting many NFL Draft props.

NFL Draft position prop bets

Total quarterbacks selected in the first round

  • Over 4 (-180)
  • Under 4 (+140)

The "over" here is a great bet as teams love to take quarterbacks in the back half of the first round. That additional year of team control makes rolling the dice on a quarterback an attractive proposition, and that will likely lead to at least one fringe first-round signal caller hearing his name called. Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert are all locks to be taken in the first round, and Jordan Love is widely expected to be taken on Thursday night as well. There has been growing buzz surrounding Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm, and either quarterback could push this bet over the top.

Total running backs selected in the first round

  • Over 0.5 (-165)
  • Under 0.5 (+125)

Total wide receivers selected in the first round

  • Over 5.5 (-160)
  • Under 5.5 (+120)

This is the deepest wide receiver draft of the modern era, and it could go down as the best class of wide receivers ever. Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb are both considered elite prospects, and Henry Ruggs III is also a lock to be selected in the first round. Brandon Aiyuk, K.J. Hamler, Tee Higgins, Justin Jefferson, Denzel Mims, Michael Pittman Jr., Jalen Reagor, and Laviska Shenault Jr. all have a chance to hear their names called in the first round, but depth at that position could lead to teams waiting to take a receiver. Those eight players are all considered somewhat similar in terms of grades, so teams might prioritize other positions where the talent isn’t as plentiful.

Total offensive linemen selected in the first round

  • Over 6.5 (-160)
  • Under 6.5 (+120)

Total defensive backs selected in the first round

  • Over 6.5 (+170)
  • Under 6.5 (-250)

NFL Draft school prop bets

Total players from Alabama drafted in the first round

  • Over 5.5 (-140)
  • Under 5.5 (+100)

The Crimson Tide have had 11 players selected in the first round over the last three years. Nick Saban has sent more players to the NFL than any other head coach since his arrival in Tuscaloosa in 2007, and Alabama could be primed to challenge Miami’s record of first-round picks in one draft set in 2004 when the Hurricanes had six players taken in the first round. Tagovailoa, Jeudy, Ruggs and Jedrick Wills are all locks to be taken in the first round, and Xavier McKinney, Terrell Lewis and Trevon Diggs could also be first-round picks.

Total players from Auburn drafted in the first round

  • Over 1.5 (+250)
  • Under 1.5 (-400)

Total players from Clemson drafted in the first round

  • Over 1.5 (-450)
  • Under 1.5 (+275)

Total players from Georgia drafted in the first round

  • Over 1.5 (-170)
  • Under 1.5 (+130)

Total players from LSU drafted in the first round

  • Over 5.5 (+250)
  • Under 5.5 (-400)

LSU could challenge Alabama as the school with the most players selected during the 2020 NFL Draft, but the Tigers only have two players who are seen as locks to be taken on Thursday. Burrow and K’Lavon Chaisson will both be off the board in the first round, but Justin Jefferson, Patrick Queen, Kristian Fulton, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Grant Delpit are all seen as fringe first-round selections.

Total players from Ohio State drafted in the first round

  • Over 2.5 (+425)
  • Under 2.5 (-800)

NFL Draft broadcast prop bets

Will any draftee be shown drinking beer?

  • Yes (+250)
  • No (-400)

To our knowledge, we can’t remember any draft pick deciding to crack open a brewski during the draft, but there is a first time for everything. With so many cameras in so many homes due to the format of the 2020 NFL Draft, this would be the time to see history being made, so the ‘Yes’ is an intriguing option here.

Will any draftee pop champagne?

  • Yes (+400)
  • No (-700)

Will pizza be seen in the home of any draftee?

  • Yes (-600)
  • No (+350)

Will the Twitter account of any draftee be hacked?

  • Yes (+550)
  • No (-1000)

This prop brings back memories of Laremy Tunsil, and his subsequent freefall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Tunsil’s Twitter and Instagram were both hacked shortly before the NFL Draft was set to get underway, and it led to the talented offensive tackle falling to No. 13 in the draft. Given the prevalence of social media accounts being hacked, it wouldn’t be a big shock to see that happen again this week.

Will any team not get its pick in on time?

  • Yes (+140)
  • No (-180)

What is the highest number of people that will be shown in one room?

  • Over 9.5 people (-140)
  • Under 9.5 people (+100)
