The New York Giants traded their second-round pick, No. 39 overall, to the Carolina Panthers as a part of the trade for Brian Burns earlier this offseason.
In turn, the Panthers traded that pick during Day 2 of the draft to the Los Angeles Rams. With that pick, the Rams selected Florida State DT Braden Fiske.
Fiske, a sixth-year senior, spent the majority of his college career at Western Michigan before transferring to Florida State in 2023. The explosive defensive tackle recorded 36.5 tackles for loss and 19.5 sacks during 58 games (43 starts) in college.
