Chris Jones may have been disappointed to not get drafted Thursday night, but the Mississippi State defensive tackle was excited to hear his name early Friday evening.
Still at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre for the second round of the draft, Jones literally danced onto the stage after the Chiefs selected him with the 37th overall pick.

The 6-6, 310-pound Jones was a second-team All-American selection last year. He left Mississippi State after three seasons with 102 career tackles, 18 for loss, and 8 1/2 sacks in 39 games. He had 44 tackles, including 7 1/2 for loss and 2 1/2 sacks, with four pass breakups last season.
Jones has size, strength and length, but some scouts feel he needs to be more consistent. The Chiefs, who boast a deep defensive front, will be the ones to work with him on that.
