Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season has arrived, and with it comes the penultimate week of NFL byes.
The league will see six teams out of action in Week 13 as they get a late-season respite. They are the Bills, Ravens, Bears, Vikings, Giants and Raiders. Their presences will be missed on the Sunday afternoon slate, which will contain just 10 games.
The good news is there are a few marquee matchups that will capture the attention of NFL fans throughout the day. It looks like a small-but-mighty week of NFL competition.
As always, Fox and CBS are splitting the available Sunday games down the middle. Each will broadcast five contests, but it's Fox that will have the right to broadcast a doubleheader in the 1 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET slots. That could ultimately create a pseudo-nationally broadcast game.

Fox's biggest game comes in the late slate when the Eagles host the 49ers in an NFC Championship Game rematch from last season. Brock Purdy and Co. will be looking for revenge, but the 10-1 Eagles have found ways to win to date. Can they do it again?
Earlier in the day, Fox's focus will be on the Lions vs. Saints game. Both teams are coming off losses in Week 12, and the Lions will hope to bounce back and take firmer command of the NFC North with the 6-6 Vikings on bye. Meanwhile, the Saints will look to win and attempt to get back into the playoff picture after dropping behind the Falcons in the divisional race.
CBS, meanwhile, will broaadcast five games throughout the day, but the Texans-Broncos contest will be their most widely shown. Each team can improve to 7-5 with a win, so the C.J. Stroud vs. Russell Wilson battle should be a tight one.

There will be 11 games played on Sunday for the second consecutive week. Per usual, "Sunday Night Football" will broadcast the final game of the day — a clash between the Chiefs and Packers — while the rest of the afternoon slate will have 10 games.
"Monday Night Football" will be a matchup between the Jaguars and Bengals that looked like a potential playoff preview between Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Instead, Jake Browning will look to hel plead Cincinnati to an upset in Jacksonville's first "MNF" game since 2011.
The main slate will feature a couple of good matchups, but none will be better than the Eagles vs. 49ers game. San Francisco will look to deal Philadelphia its first loss of the season while also looking to earn vengeance after being blown out by the Eagles in the NFC championship game.
