Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is working his way back from shoulder surgery, and the latest updates regarding his throwing program offered some impressive progress.
The No. 4 overall pick from the 2023 NFL Draft saw his season cut short due to a Grade 3 AC joint sprain he suffered during the Week 5 game against the Tennessee Titans. He had surgery in October and has been working through a throwing program since the middle of February.

The progress Richardson has made is increasingly tangible.
First, there was this video from ESPN's Stephen Holder showing Richardson absolutely yeeting a weighted medicine ball as if it were a beach ball. The strength is clearly returning.

Then, there's a video that surfaced from workouts with Campbell University wide receiver Jalen Kelsey via the latter's Instagram stories.

Making throws from about 15 yards out, the zip and velocity are coming back very easily for Richardson. That arm strength and the ease in which it comes was one of the biggest selling points in Richardson's draft profile.
The Colts begin offseason workouts April 15, and there's a good chance Richardson is going to be ready when the team hits the field for Phase II of the program, which won't come until the end of April.
But this update should give plenty of hope that Richardson is making immense progress with his throwing program.
