Who will win NFL MVP? The answer to that question and others will be answered Thursday night at the 13th NFL Honors  award ceremony.

MVP is the most coveted, but other awards like Coach of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year and Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Year will be among the eight handed out to the top players and coaches from this past season.

A nationwide panel of 50 sports journalists who cover the NFL will pick the winner. This year, as it was in 2023, the panelists were asked to rank-vote their top picks for each award. So for MVP, they listed their top five picks from No. 1 to No. 5. For the rest, only three were ranked.

This past season, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes won his second MVP award. He isn't up for MVP this year, but two of his opponents in Super Bowl 58 are: 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and running back Christian McCaffrey. San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan is also one of the finalists for Coach of the Year.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who Mahomes outdueled in the AFC championship game, is also up for his second career MVP award.

The Texans could be the biggest winners from this season with finalists for Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year. The Lions also have two finalists for Offensive Rookie of the Year, while the Cowboys have two finalists for Offensive Player of the Year and one for Defensive Player of the Year.
