There is no team in the NFL that is more overlooked by the national media on a yearly basis than the Tennessee Titans. Even when they were one of the better teams in the NFL from the middle of 2019 through 2021, nobody gave them respect.
While not much has changed on that front overall, there is at least someone from the national scene who is warning people not to sleep on the Titans ahead of the 2024 campaign.
It is none other than radio and NFL Network host Rich Eisen, who recently chose the Titans as his No. 1 sleeper team for the 2024 campaign.
"I don't know if they're going to make the playoffs because they're in a conference that's going to be real tough, but I'm going there," Eisen said. "My No. 1 sleeper team for this year is the team that everybody thinks is going to lose to their team in the win-loss game. I'm going the Tennessee Titans. I'm going the Tennessee Titans with Will Levis... The wide receiver room - Calvin Ridley, DHop and Tyler Boyd - and this guy, Brian Callahan, he's from the (Sean) McVay tree, people, and his dad's there coaching up the offensive line. The running game - I know everybody thinks Derrick Henrys' gone it's going to be garbage - (Tyjae) Spears and (Tony) Pollard. Jeffery Simmons... But I just think they're going to be better than you think."

Our surprise doesn't come from the fact that someone is picking the Titans as a sleeper, but rather that someone from the national media is doing it.
In his breakdown, which we of course loved, Eisen didn't even mention the Titans' cornerbacks room, which has a trio of L'Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie and Roger McCreary that could be one of the best in the NFL.
Nobody is pegging the Titans as a Super Bowl contender, but if Levis can take that next step and the additions Tennessee has made pan out, this team is going to be better than many around the football world think.
