The New York Jets have one of, if not the most talented rosters in all of football heading into the 2024 season.
Last year was considered an "all-in season" for most before Aaron Rodgers suffered his torn Achilles in Week 1. Three Jets quarterbacks had taken over the starting position for the rest of the 2023 campaign and the lack of production may have taken the spotlight off of some Jets players who'd shined even through the mediocracy.
But with Rodgers back in the fold this year, the Jets are operating like a team putting all their chips in the middle of the table again. That being said, general manager Joe Douglas has done a great job surrounding the four-time MVP with an abundance of offensive star power poised to take off. He added four new offensive linemen, two receivers and two running backs this offseason to go along with the Jets' star-studded youth core from the past two seasons.

When you think of the 2024 Jets offense besides Rodgers, the two X-factors are receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall. Their presence was felt in 2023 even with the poor quarterback play and they'd displayed game-changing ability that should be enhanced this season with Rodgers.
Some consider Wilson and Hall to be among the best players in the NFL this season. But one analyst isn't so sure.

Although Jets fans should be excited to see what both Wilson and Hall can do this season, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco doesn't share the same sentiment at least for one of these young athletes.
Prisco comprised a list of his top 100 players in 2024. Hall was not only not on his list, but he wasn't even an honorable mention that included 50 additional players. It's safe to say that Prisco's CBS colleagues and Hall himself were confused with this list.

Hall was undoubtedly the best offensive player on the Jets this past season even after coming off a torn ACL during his rookie campaign in 2022. He'd racked up 1,585 scrimmage yards, fourth-best among all skill positions in the NFL with 49ers Christian McCaffrey as the only other running back ahead of him. At age 23, Hall was the focal point of a struggling offense and showcased his electric ability even while running behind an offensive line that had 13 combinations in 2023.

What's more staggering about Prisco's list is that he thinks nine other running backs are currently better than Hall. You can make arguments for some, but one that sticks out is Minnesota Vikings starter Aaron Jones. Hall played six more games than Jones, had more rushing and receiving yards and scored more touchdowns. Except for the fact that Jones has been in the league for five more years, Jones ahead of Hall doesn't make much sense.
Former Jets defensive end Leger Douzable expressed his uncertainty about the list to Prisco while they were on the CBS panel yesterday.
"It's ludicrous is what it is," he said on CBS Sports Network. "It's asinine like I can't believe you didn't even put him on honorable mention."
Even though Prisco may not think as highly of Hall as most do, there is no doubt that Hall has a chance to plunge into the conversation for the best running backs in football. Now that he is fully healthy, has a revamped offensive line to run behind, and a field general in Rodgers, expect Hall to put up some video-game-type numbers.
