Throughout draft season, the Los Angeles Rams were rumored to be interested in drafting a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft. Ten picks later, however, and the team did not select a single one.
However, that might not have meant they weren't interested in drafting one.
Appearing on a local Denver Broncos show, NFL.com's Chad Reuter reveals that the Broncos could not have traded down to select Bo Nix because the Rams would have taken him at 19.
For all who think the Broncos could have traded down and still gotten Bo Nix … @chad_reuter of @NFLMedia says, “No,” that wouldn’t have worked.

Why? Because the Rams wanted Nix.
"The Rams were taking Nix at 19. Absolutely, if he was available,” Reuter told @CecilLammey & me. pic.twitter.com/SHxQxEdZSw
Bo Nix was selected 12th overall by the Broncos, a move that generated plenty of reactions. The Rams went on to select pass rusher Jared Verse later on at 19th overall, and didn't end up selecting a single quarterback.
We know the Rams were trying to trade up to select Brock Bowers, who went 13th overall, in the first round. Did Denver get scared off of a move down due to hypothetical interest?
It is pretty surprising that the Rams keep getting linked to quarterbacks despite gearing up to give Matthew Stafford a new contract. With Stetson Bennett's return to the team for OTAs, the Rams seem set to keep three quarterbacks on the roster for this season.
