NFL Week 2 odds, predictions to make playoffs on road to Super Bowl 2018 image

Heading into NFL Week 2, the only teams without a game under their belt are the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had an unconventional bye in Week 1 due to Hurricane Irma.

For the rest of the NFL, it was business as usual in Week 1. Most of the games went exactly as expected, but there was a major upset right out of the gates when the reigning Super Bowl champion Patriots fell to the Chiefs for the first time in history at Foxborough.

NFL playoff odds: AccuScore vs. Vegas

Moving up:

  • Minnesota Vikings (1-0): The Vikings excelled against the Saints in their home opener with Sam Bradford at the helm. Despite their divisional rivals also winning, the Vikings' chances took an upward turn with the solid performance.

  • Atlanta Falcons (1-0): Last season’s Super Bowl runner-up started the season with a nifty road win at Chicago. It wasn't the fireworks show we’ve come to expect from Atlanta, but there was never doubt that the Falcons would take the "W." With the Saints losing and Bucs on bye, the Falcons' likelihood to make playoffs went up.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0): The oft-overlooked Jaguars gave no mercy to the Houston Texans, taking a 29-7 win on the road. Even Blake Bortles looked good and the young-but-talented Jags were the only winning team in the AFC South. No surprise their playoff chances increased heading into Week 2.

Moving down:

  • Cincinnati Bengals (0-1): Cincy had a terrible start to the season, getting shut out by the Ravens, 20-0, at home. The Bengals offense completely fell apart under pressure, and the D wasn't much better. It does not look good for the Bengals, whose chances of making the playoffs dipped remarkably.

  • Indianapolis Colts (0-1): Andrew Luck’s absence spelled trouble for the Colts and that’s exactly what they got. Scott Tolzien was out of sync and the Colts offense only managed 9 points. Meanwhile, the Rams pounded the defense with 46 points and left Chuck Pagano confused about which team they faced. Even when Luck returns, the Colts are not likely to improve much and their playoff chances are falling.

  • New Orleans Saints (0-1): Even with Drew Brees still going strong, there are not many other positives for the Saints. Minnesota ran circles around New Orleans in a 29-19 game that felt more lopsided. With NFC South rivals Carolina and Atlanta winning, the Saints are already behind the pack in a competitive division.
