And so it begins.
New York Giants veteran offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor exited Wednesday's training camp practice early due to what appeared to be a rib injury.
Even though live contact isn't permitted and the pads aren't on yet, there's going to be incidental contact in the trenches during live drills.
Eluemunor was able to walk off the field under his own power and waved off the cart when they tried to bring it out.
Was recording the play and captured when Jermaine Eluemunor went down. Looks like Dexter Lawrence ran into his side #giants https://t.co/B1A57YckOG pic.twitter.com/D9dsIjmvvp

While the severity of the injury has yet to be made known, this is a problem for the Giants.
Starting right tackle Evan Neal started camp on the PUP list as he continues to recover eight months after offseason ankle surgery.
Eluemunor, who was signed this offseason to be the team's left guard, slid over to right tackle with Neal unavailable.
With Eluemunor and Neal both out right now, the Giants will lean on former third-round pick Joshua Ezeudu.
