The New York Giants have a major question mark hanging over the offensive line, and we're starting to see just what that rotation looks like.
Through the first week of organized team activities (OTA), the foundation for the offensive line is being set. After a season allowing 85 sacks—20 more than the next team—the Giants have a lot of work to do.
That starts with finding the right rotation of players working together on the front five.
Here's what the Giants offensive line has looked like during OTAs:
- LT: Andrew Thomas
- LG: Jermaine Eluemunor
- C: John Michael Schmitz
- RG: Jon Runyan Jr.
- RT: Evan Neal
The two guard spots are currently being held by two veterans the Giants signed during free agency. Eluemunor has experience working both as a guard and a tackle, but it appears the Giants want him inside next to Thomas.
Runyan has experience playing both right and left guard. He has said that he prefers to play the latter, but the Giants must feel more comfortable with him on the right side.
The biggest question mark is Neal. The No. 5 overall pick from the 2022 NFL draft hasn't come close to returning the investment the Giants made on him. This is very much a make-or-break year for him.
There is a long way to go before the offensive line is finalized, but this is what it looks like to begin the offseason workouts.
