The New York Giants have released their schedule and know what the path through the 2024 season will look like.

With the release of the schedule comes way-too-early record predictions. We gave some predictions of our own for the Giants, going through game-by-game.

The experts around the league also weighed in on how the Giants might fare during the 2024 season. Here's a look at how they predicted the season will go:

NFL experts predict Giants' 2024 win total

Maurice Moton, Bleacher Report: 4-13

Big Blue will need to muddy up games with its defense. The club should have a strong front seven with Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence II pressuring the pocket, but one has to wonder how the Giants will score with any level of consistency.

Cynthia Frelund, NFL.com: 5.4 wins

Another thing that just feels right: The Giants having a really nasty defensive front. Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux showed their teeth last season, and the inspired trade for Brian Burns makes me think of Big Blue's Super Bowl teams, from the recent vintage all the way back to the time when Lawrence Taylor lurked in the Meadowlands. The offensive front is more of a question, though, and the unit will be tested early and often. From Week 3 through Week 8, New York faces a six-game stretch against talented teams that present a number of imposing pass rushers: at Cleveland, vs. Dallas (TNF), at Seattle, vs. Cincinnati (SNF), vs. Philadelphia, at Pittsburgh (MNF).

Marcus Mosher, The 33rd Team: 6-11

The New York Giants are back to square one of their rebuild. Daniel Jones isn’t the answer at quarterback, and New York still has several question marks on its offensive line.

The Giants' defense should be improved, but the team plays in a tough division and has a brutal schedule (AFC North, NFC South). It’ll be a struggle for New York to win seven or more games.

Ralph Vacchiano, FOX Sports: 8-9

After a disastrous 2023, the Giants desperately need to get off to a fast start in 2024 — and the opportunity is there. They open with two games against teams that may be starting rookie QBs — vs. Minnesota (J.J. McCarthy) and at Washington (Jayden Daniels). That's at least a soft opening to set up a brutal next six games, featuring trips to Cleveland, Seattle and Pittsburgh, plus three prime-time games. That's the worst stretch, though. Overall, nine of the Giants' 17 games are against teams that didn't make the playoffs last year, and they face only one of those playoff teams in December. Whether the Giants will be any good probably hinges on QB Daniel Jones. But the schedule, especially in the second half of the season, won't be an obstacle

Gilberto Manzano, Sports Illustrated: 4-13

The Giants are banking on a bounce-back year from Daniel Jones, who had his 2023 season cut short due to a torn ACL. They will have to host the Saints, Buccaneers, Ravens, Bengals and Colts for difficult home games. But New York could hang with the best teams because of their ferocious defensive front led by edge rusher Brian Burns, who joined the Giants in March after being traded by the Panthers. If Jones quickly establishes a connection with rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, the Giants could prove the naysayers wrong.
