The New York Giants hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and it's a slot the franchise has held four times before.
While there is always a chance the front office moves off this pick in either direction, we're here to break down the history the Giants have had with this selection.
Three of the players the Giants drafted with this pick came before the end of World War II while the other is currently the starting quarterback of the franchise.

1941 NFL Draft
The first player the Giants selected with this pick was running back George Franck out of Minnesota in the 1941 NFL Draft. He wound up serving in World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He joined the Marine Corps and served as a pilot as well as a spotter during the Battle of Iwo Jima.
On the gridiron, Franck wound up playing three seasons (1945-1947) with the Giants following the war before retiring.

1943 NFL Draft
Two years later, the Giants selected fullback Steve Filipowicz out of Fordham. He also played quarterback at Fordham, but the Giants drafted him as a fullback. He played two seasons with the Giants before retiring to pursue a career in baseball where he also spent some time with the New York Giants (now the San Francisco Giants).
1944 NFL Draft
The following year, the Giants held the same pick and used it on fullback Billy Hillenbrand out of Indiana. However, Hillenbrand would go on to serve in the Army during World War II. When the war was over, he played three seasons in the AAFC with the Chicago Rockets (1946) and Baltimore Colts (1947-1948).

2019 NFL Draft
Fast forward 65 years, and the Giants are on the clock again with the No. 6 pick. This time, under general manager Dave Gettleman, Big Blue took quarterback Daniel Jones out of Duke. Currently the starter, Jones has dealt with injuries and inconsistencies throughout his time with the team.

Some of it has been due to the lack of supporting cast around him to go along with incompetence at head coach. Some of it has been his own doing.
Currently in the second year of a four-year extension, Jones has dealt with some worrisome injuries such as a lingering neck injury. He's currently working his way back from a torn ACL.
