The New York Giants added running back Devin Singletary in free agency this offseason after watching Saquon Barkley sign with a division rival.
Singletary, coming over from the Houston Texans, signed a three-year deal worth $16.5 million in free agency. Now, we have an idea of what his contract incentives look like.
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, here are the contract incentives for Singletary:
Devin Singletary signed a three-year, $16.5 million deal with the Giants, with another $3 million available in incentives. The incentives are split evenly between the three years.
- 1,100 total yards: $125,000
- 1,200 total yards: $250,000
- 1,300 total yards: $250,000
- 56% of snaps: $125,000
- 66% of snaps: $250,000
Singletary has recorded 1,098, 1,099 and 1,091 total yards in each of the last three seasons, respectively. Meanwhile, his snap counts have never been below 56% in the games he's been active for since entering the NFL in 2019.
Singletary has a history with Brian Daboll from their days in Buffalo, and the other backfield should give him a chance at an extremely high workload in 2023.
