The New York Giants signed linebacker Darius Muasau to his rookie contract, the team announced Wednesday.
The team's final selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, Muasau was taken with the No. 183 overall pick in the sixth round.
Though the Giants have Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden as the starters in Shane Bowen's defense, Muasau will have a chance to compete for a depth role while also contributing on special teams.
The UCLA product figures to compete with Matthew Adams for the backup MIKE role behind Okereke.
A fifth-year senior, Muasau started 51 games during his collegiate career between Hawaii (2019-2021) and UCLA (2022-2023).
In his two seasons at UCLA, Muasau started 26 games, recording 166 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 10 passes defensed and three interceptions.
At 5-foot-11 and 225 pounds, Muasau has 31.5-inch arms. He posted a 4.70 in the 40-yard dash and added a 36.5-inch vertical jump.
Musau is the fourth of six Giants draft picks to sign his rookie deal. Only safety Tyler Nubin (second round) and tight end Theo Johnson (fourth round) have yet to sign.
