While at Roland Garros, Suh expressed how fired up he is to get to Tampa Bay and play under first-year coach Bruce Arians.

“I’m very excited,” Suh said. “I actually had the opportunity to talk very deeply with coach Todd Bowles, as well as Bruce Arians, two elite coaches that I’ve had great interactions with in years past. I like being part of things you can build, and be able to put them over the top. Hopefully my talent, as well as all the other guys — former Nebraskans, Lavonte David — we can play together and change the game there, and get us to a winning situation.”

Suh's signing comes after the Bucs released fellow defensive tackle Gerald McCoy following his nine seasons with Tampa Bay, as the team decided not to pay the $13 million he was due for the upcoming season.

Suh, 32, was selected by the Lions with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft and remained in Detroit until he signed a six-year contract worth $114 million with the Dolphins in March 2015.

He was released by Miami last March and signed a one-year deal with the Rams shortly after getting cut, racking up 59 tackles and 4.5 sacks during the regular season.

Suh added 10 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the playoffs before Los Angeles fell to New England in Super Bowl 53.
