Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh on Wednesday dismissed suggestions that he’s freelancing outside coordinator Kevin Coyle's calls but described Miami's defense thus far "unacceptable," the Palm Beach Post reported.
Asked about his individual performance this season (he has three tackles in two games) after signing for $114 million in the offseason, Suh said, "Fundamentally, I’ve just got to get back into the sync of things, and that’s what practice is for, getting with the coaches and understanding my mistakes.”

However, he deferred when asked whether his lack of production is because he has strayed from the game plan.
“I think Coach (Joe) Philbin addressed that, and I kind of leave it at that,” Suh said.
But when pressed further, at one point being asked if he ever ignores coaches, Suh shot back, “No, what for? I mean, that’s my job, to go out and play as hard as I can, with their direction.”
The Post noted that at least one teammate, Cameron Wake, who plays alongside Suh at left end, doesn't think Suh is freelancing.
“I couldn’t say that,” Wake said. “I mean, I play next to him, so if anybody would know, I probably would.”
