Who plays on 'Monday Night Football' tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for Week 10 image

Tonight's "Monday Night Football" matchup is uncharacteristically juicy considering ESPN rarely gets must-see matchups for its prime-time package these days. In a game scheduled to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET, the 49ers will host the Seahawks — easily the most intriguing MNF matchup of the 2019 season thus far.

At 8-0, San Francisco is the last undefeated team in the NFL this season, yet its lead in the NFC West over 7-2 Seattle is slim. The Seahawks have dominated this rivalry of late, winning nine of the last 10 matchups, but the 49ers are six-point home favorites for Monday night's game.

If Seattle pulls off the upset Monday night, chances are MVP candidate Russell Wilson will be the reason. The Seahawks quarterback, who leads the NFL with 22 touchdown passes and a passer rating of 118.2, is looking for his 10th straight game against NFC West opponents with a passer rating of 110 or better.

The result of this game, a big one in what may be considered the best division in football, will matter for the NFL playoffs and beyond. Including the 49ers’ berth in Super Bowl 47, the NFC West has produced four of the last seven NFC Super Bowl representatives. Seattle and San Francisco accounted for three of those appearances, while the Rams were the latest entry last season. Since the beginning of that 2012 season, no other division has a better overall winning percentage.

Below is all you need to know about Monday night's game between the 49ers and Seahawks, including the kickoff time and TV channel.

Who plays on Monday Night Football tonight?

  • Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
  • Kickoff time: 8:15 p.m. ET

In both our NFL Week 10 picks against the spread and straight-up predictions, Sporting News projected a 49ers victory over the Seahawks on Monday night. Below are the explanations.

Pick against the spread: The Seahawks' pass defense is not very good, and the 49ers have their passing offense revved up. Defensively, San Francisco can win the battles up front against Seattle's offensive line, and it should be a bit healthier on the other side to handle a limited pass rush. The 49ers have been a great home team this season, and Jimmy Garoppolo will be up to the task of out-dueling Russell Wilson with better matchups for his weapons. Pick: 49ers win 31-27 but fail to cover the spread.

Straight-up prediction: Somewhat lost in the shadow of Russell Wilson's MVP-caliber play this season has been a shaky Seahawks defense that's allowing 25.6 points per game. While Seattle represents San Francisco's biggest test yet, the NFL's last remaining undefeated team this season won't have to deal with much resistance at home Monday night. Wilson, meanwhile, will need to be more magical than usual against a defense that can get to him without blitzing. He'll get his share of highlights, but they won't be enough. Pick: 49ers 26, Seahawks 17.
