Technically there is Monday night football on TV tonight, but there is no "Monday Night Football" game on TV tonight. Due to the way it works out the schedule for Week 17, the NFL has no "MNF" game for the final week of the year. Week 17 of the 2019 season began and ended with Sunday's full slate of games, and the playoff bracket was set.
So the Monday night football stage tonight belongs to Florida and Virginia in the Orange Bowl on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.
As for the Week 17 NFL schedule, the league flexed its best game of the week to the only prime-time slot available. (There was no "Thursday Night Football" in Week 17, either.) The Seahawks hosted the 49ers on "Sunday Night Football" in the final game of the regular season, and the game — and, in turn, the playoff seeding — literally came down to the last second and the last few inches.

Is there a 'Monday Night Football' game tonight?
There is not. The last "Monday Night Football" game of the season was played last week, when the Packers beat the Vikings to clinch the NFC North title.
If you need your Monday football fix as the new year approaches, the college bowl schedule offers a couple solid evening options. California and Illinois will play in the Redbox Bowl at 4 p.m. ET, and Florida and Virginia will play in the Orange Bowl at 8 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
The NFL wrapped up its regular season Sunday, when all 16 games were played at either 1 p.m. ET or 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS or Fox. The exception was the Seahawks-49ers game, which was played at 8:25 p.m. ET on NBC.
