The Eagles and Chiefs were both out of action in Week 10, left to watch the competition as they wander down the road they hope leads to Vegas in February for Super Bowl LVIII. And the road just continues to get easier with each passing week. Injuries, especially to quarterbacks, are destroying the league this season, with Joe Burrow being the latest victim claimed by the injury bug. Fans are left to wonder who will end up playing for the Lombardi at season's end, with this campaign mirroring the final four of Nick Foles, Blaine Gabbert, Case Keenum and Tom Brady in 2018 if the trend continues.
But there's a long time between now and then, so we just have to enjoy the present. In what might be the best Monday night game of the year, enjoy Jason Kelce vs. Travis Kelce, Jalen Hurts vs. Patrick Mahomes and Eagles vs. Chiefs under the lights at Arrowhead. To celebrate, we're crafting a DraftKings Showdown lineup that will hopefully allowing us to splurge on a bigger turkey for Thursday.
Before we get into our lineup and strategy, here are the key scoring settings for DraftKings Showdown contests: They're full-point PPR and there are three-point bonuses for 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards, and 100 receiving yards. The Captain pick costs 1.5 times a player's original price, but he also gets his point total multiplied by 1.5.

Eagles-Chiefs DraftKings Picks: DFS lineup for Week 11 Monday Night Football
$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.
Captain (1.5x points, 1.5x salary): TE Travis Kelce, Chiefs ($15,000)
It's no secret that the Chiefs offense isn't as explosive as they used to be, leaving Kelce to handle the bulk of the workload. That hasn't impacted him too much with the star tight end still turning in another great season. And apparently, Taylor Swift will be in attendance. People in the fantasy and betting community will use any little nugget of information to find an edge and Kelce's numbers with Swift in the building versus without are pretty incredible. Plus, we have the have the battle for brother bragging rights taking place just days before a holiday and Kelce is about as matchup-proof as it gets. Don't overthink it.
FLEX WR A.J. Brown, Eagles ($10,200)
Brown has been on a tear this year and will be looking to start a new streak after recording 125 or more receiving yards in six straight games before seeing it snapped prior to the bye against the Cowboys. The Chiefs' defense is no joke, but like Kelce, Brown is matchup-proof and any winning lineup likely includes those two. The workload isn't going anywhere, averaging 9.2 targets per game. He had a big game in the Super Bowl, hauling in six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles aren't going to let the K.C. defense take their star out of the game.
FLEX RB D'Andre Swift, Eagles ($8,400)
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles tackle absence of Dallas Goedert and one way they could choose to do that is with the inclusion of their running backs in the passing game once again. Swift would be the preferred option in that case and is always a big factor in the offense anyway. The Chiefs have allowed the Broncos and Dolphins running backs to have big days in each of their last two games. Swift should be able to join that club.
FLEX WR Rashee Rice, Chiefs ($7,400)
It took a while but it appears the Chiefs are finally recognizing that Rice is their best receiving option not named Kelce. He's scored touchdowns in three of his last five and gone over 50 yards in three of four. The Eagles have struggled to defend receivers this season, with the real strength being in the front seven rather than the secondary. That means we should see Rice have plenty of chances to succeed. Philly is allowing the most yards to receivers on average per game (199.9) as well as the most fantasy points (28.8). Back Rice and expect his run of success to continue as Kansas City hopes to find some more consistency from the receiver room.
FLEX K Harrison Butker, Chiefs ($5,000)
We aren't huge fans of the way the Eagles defense is playing this year, but they will get stops at some point. And the Chiefs will have to settle for field goals at times. Luckily, Butker is one of the best and is a perfect 18-for-18 this year. We expect the stars to play a big role in this result, leaving many of the sleepers still tucked under the blankets by the end of the night. Because of that, we'll take a few field goals from Butker to boost our points total.
FLEX D/ST Chiefs ($3,800)
Neither team has particularly impressed thus far in 2023, with both teams playing games that are a little too close for comfort. While they're each leading their respective conference in the standings, each of them could easily be worse. But the difference on Monday night at Arrowhead will come down to the defenses. The Chiefs have always been known for offense, but it's their defense that is carrying them thus far. And we have much more faith in Mahomes exploiting a bad secondary than we do in Hurts to lift his struggling offense against a really good defense. They have been exposed at times, but have posted double digit fantasy points performances in four straight, including a solid showing against an explosive Dolphins' attack. We'll trust that Steve Spagnuolo has his group ready to prove that the Super Bowl result was no fluke.

Each player is assigned a scoring multiplier based on their value as determined by SuperDraft. Users can roster any player in their lineup with no restrictions.

This Monday night matchup is one for the stars in what is the Super Bowl LVII rematch and could end up being a Super Bowl LVIII preview. Mahomes should have his guys clicking out of the bye, with big games from Kelce and Rice while Hurts connects with Brown even more after losing his security blanket in Goedert. Sometimes the picks are obvious.
