Minkah Fitzpatrick may not be in a Dolphins uniform for much longer.
Miami is expected to move the 22-year-old safety sometime this week, according to a report from CBS Sports.
The Miami Herald added there are three teams "seriously interested" in acquiring Fitzpatrick and the team is "certain" it will receive a first-round pick in return for him.
Fitzpatrick was originally selected by the Dolphins out of Alabama with the No. 11 pick in the 2018 draft. He has recorded nine pass breakups and two interceptions in 18 career games.
The Dolphins have been noncompetitive in both their games this season — loses to the Ravens and Patriots — and multiple players have reportedly contacted their agents with the hopes of being traded away from the team. Miami reportedly gave Fitzpatrick permission to seek a deal elsewhere earlier this month.
“It’s a little frustration, but I have to shift my focus to what’s important,” Fitzpatrick told reporters last week. “I can’t focus on the trade talks and everything else like that."
The Dolphins have already parted ways with left tackle Laremy Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills and linebacker Kiko Alonso this season.
