It appears rumors of Michael Vick's restoration were greatly exaggerated.
After reports Vick would be coming out of retirement to lace up his cleats again for the Fan Controlled Football League, which already features some former NFL talent like Terrell Owens and Johnny Manziel, Vick debunked the rumors of his return.

"I hung 'em up in 2015 never to return again," Vick tweeted with a picture of hanging cleats. "Had an amazing time and accomplished so much. I say that to say, they're going to stay hung up and I will not be coming out of retirement."

Vick, who last played for the Steelers in 2015 as a backup to Ben Roethlisberger, added: "I appreciate the opportunity to play but I’d rather put my executive hat on with the little ownership that I have!"
Vick, 41, played in 13 NFL seasons between 2001 and 2015. He became the archetypical dual-threat quarterback out of Virginia Tech, rushing for 6,109 yards in addition to his 22,464 passing yards. Vick spent time with the Falcons and Eagles before finishing his career with single seasons with the Jets and Steelers.
While Reuters reported Owens' success in Fan Controlled Football was what spurred Vick out of retirement, Vick clearly has no interest in coming back any time soon.
