Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi joins elite list with back-to-back 200-yard games image

Some elite running backs play their entire career without a 200-yard rushing game.

Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi has now done it two straight weeks.

Making only his third career start Sunday, the second-year back out of Boise State shredded the Buffalo Bills defense for 214 yards on 29 carries, with a touchdown.

Coupled with his game last week against the Steelers (25 carries for 204 yards and two touchdowns), Ajayi becomes only the fourth different running back in NFL history with consecutive 200-yard games, joining O.J. Simpson (1973, 1976), Earl Campbell (1980) and Ricky Williams (2002).

Ajayi, the Dolphins' fifth-round pick in 2015, left the game late in the fourth quarter with apparent leg cramps, but returned a few minutes later. Miami won, 28-25.

With Arian Foster hampered by a balky hamstring, it's clear Ajayi has made the most of his opportunity to start.
