X-rays of Seahawks running back Fred Jackson's injured right ankle were negative Monday night, but coach Pete Carroll said the team isn't sure about its severity.
With Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) sidelined again, Jackson had three carries for 21 yards against the Lions when he sustained the scary-looking injury in the third quarter.

In addition to Jackson's ankle not being broken in a 13-10 Seattle win, there was more good news: Carroll said after the game that although Lynch was a game-time scratch, he's expected to be back for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
“He wasn’t quite right,” Carroll said of Lynch. “His best day was today. He ran pretty well in pregame, but they did not think he could sustain through the game and come out healthy again the next week. So we’re hoping that by using patience here, that he’ll be ready to go this next week.”
With Jackson injured and Lynch out, the Seahawks were left with Thomas Rawls as their only healthy halfback. He finished with 48 yards on 17 carries, and fullback Derrick Coleman lined up some at running back — the position he played in college — but did not have a carry.
