Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been ruled out for Week 5 against the Bengals, the team announced Friday.
Many expected the decision to take up until game time, but Seattle decided to rule him out early. The Seahawks haven't officially ruled out Fred Jackson yet, although the veteran back hasn't been practicing all week and is unlikely to play. Jackson injured an ankle last week.

Filling the void for both backs will be rookie Thomas Rawls. He filled in nicely during Week 3's game against the Bears, but struggled last week against the Lions. In Week 4 he averaged 2.8 yards per carry as he struggled to find any running room.
The Seahawks (2-2) will look to put the first loss on the Bengals' (4-0) undefeated record without their star running back.
