Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will see a specialist Tuesday in Philadelphia and surgery isn't out of the question for his nagging abdominal injury, coach Pete Carroll said after Sunday’s victory over the 49ers.
“Nothing is ruled out at this point,’’ Carroll said (via the Seattle Times). “This will be a really important couple of days for Marshawn. We’ll know something by Wednesday, probably.”

Lynch suffered the injury in practice Nov. 12 but played last week against the Cardinals. He had been expected to play Sunday but was declared inactive after pregame warmups.
“He tried,’’ Carroll said. “We rested him all week, and we rehabbed him all week long, and really the first time we took a real look at it was out here in pregame, and he just couldn’t get going."
Thomas Rawls started in Lynch’s place and ran for 209 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries.
According to the Times, the possibility of Lynch, 29, missing the rest of the season already is leading to speculation that his time with the Seahawks could be over. The team could save $6.5 million against the salary cap next year if it were to release Lynch, who signed a contract in March that pays him an average of $12 million a season through 2017.
