The Dolphins, who just last year made headlines with the addition of free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, may be looking to add one of the biggest defensive line gems in this year's free agent crop.
Former Bills defensive end Mario Williams is visiting Miami, according to a Saturday report from the NFL Network.

The Bills cut the 31-year-old earlier this week. The overall No. 1 pick in the 2006 NFL Draft recorded only five sacks in 2015 after averaging 13 sacks the three previous seasons. Part of that decline may have been new Bills coach Rex Ryan's defensive scheme, which had Williams frequently drop into pass coverage.
Williams' displeasure with that system likely contributed to his exit from Buffalo, as did his contract, which called for the four-time Pro Bowler to be paid $19.9 million this year.
Williams is not expected to receive that type of salary offer in free agency, but he could be a valuable addition to the right team. Whether Williams is the right fit in Miami remains to be seen; but the team must address its pass rush.
The Dolphins recorded 31 sacks last year, tied for 25th in the NFL. Defensive end Olivier Vernon is set to become a free agent, and 34-year-old pass-rushing linebacker Cameron Wake is coming off a torn Achilles tendon.
