New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels called off their $10,000 bet on who would win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Before either player was drafted to their respective teams at the end of April, Nabers and Daniels made a bet with each other to see who would finish the season as the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
“Having that guy in my corner has been the best. Going against him will be fun,” Nabers said on The Pivot Podcast. "We’ve got a bet going for Rookie of The Year. Whoever loses has to pay $10,000 cash.”

However, the bet has been called off, Nabers told the New York media Friday at the start of rookie minicamp. It stems from Nabers and Daniels being more educated about the NFL's gambling policy.
Malik Nabers said he’s now educated on the NFL’s gambling policy. He and his former LSU teammate Jayden Daniels called off their $10K bet for rookie of the year.

The NFL has come down hard on players gambling in recent seasons. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley was suspended for an entire season after bets were placed in his name, and several players across the league have been reprimanded for similar instances.
Nabers figures to be right in the middle of the rookie of the year odds along with Daniels considering the likelihood that both players have strong roles to begin their first seasons in the NFL.
So while fans can bet all they want on which player will bring home the hardware, it's a wise move that Nabers and Daniels called off the bet between each other.
