Malik Jackson's season is over.
According to NFL Media, which cited unidentified sources, the Eagles defensive tackle is expected to sit out the rest of 2019 with a left Lisfranc injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Redskins.
The report noted Jackson is scheduled to have surgery on his foot next week, though a timetable for his recovery will likely remain uncertain until after the procedure.
#Eagles DT Malik Jackson is expected to miss the season with a Lisfranc injury suffered Sunday vs. the #Redskins, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Jackson will have surgery next week. Tough one for Philly despite their DL depth.

Jackson sustained the injury late in Sunday's game during a pass rush and was carted off the field. He later exited Lincoln Financial Field in a walking boot.
“Significant injury” to Malik Jackson. He was carter off yesterday. Needs more testing to see if he’ll need surgery. That’s a big blow #Eagles pic.twitter.com/XtYSV0qk8q

Eagles coach Doug Pederson told reporters Monday that the injury was serious and couldn't say for sure if Jackson would be able to return. He said it was "going to require some time" to heal.
Jackson, 29, was initially selected by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2012 draft and also spent time with the Jaguars from from 2016-18. He posted 32.5 sacks in seven seasons with Denver and Jacksonville.
The Pro Bowl defender was locked up on a three-year deal worth $30 million with Philadelphia this offseason following the departures of Chris Long and Michael Bennett, so his loss is a tough blow.
The Eagles are slated to visit the Falcons at 8:20 p.m. ET Sunday.
