It's certainly fair for the Denver Broncos to question why Rob Gronkowski is the cover athlete for Madden NFL 17 and not their own Super Bowl MVP Von Miller.

What the team didn't do however is ask why Miller is getting punked in two official screenshots released by EA Sports. Despite being involved with the company as part of the promotional program for Madden NFL 17, two of the first three images officially released for the upcoming game feature Miller getting shown up by offensive players.
In one, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is dismissing him with a stiff-arm. In the other it's Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley hurdling over his tackle attempt.
Maybe there's someone on the marketing team at EA that isn't fond of Miller or the Broncos. The joke could be on them though — at least he gets to avoid the "Madden Curse."
"Madden NFL 17" will release Aug. 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is the cover athlete. New features include a renewed focus on Franchise mode, and several major new gameplay features on offense, defense and special teams. Subscribers to the EA Access service on Xbox One will get 10 hours with the game beginning Aug. 17. The game is available for pre-order on Amazon where Prime members get it for 20 percent off.
