Traveling overseas is rarely cheap, but a group of Lions wanted to do it right during their day off in London before Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.
Veteran running back Joique Bell and a group of teammates spent the day in London shopping, eating and exploring before Bell shelled out 166 pounds — equivalent to $253.84 — for an Uber ride back to the team's facility Tuesday.

"We went down to London," Bell told reporters in England, via ESPN.com. "We went to Harrod's. We went to Zara. I was ready to go within two hours. We had to wait three hours for Theo (Riddick) really to finish shopping. So we left there, went to go get a bit to eat and caught a very expensive Uber ride back up here."
Bell, whose veteran status compelled him to pay for the trip, said the ride covered himself, other running backs, offensive lineman Cornelius Lucas and cornerback Nevin Lawson.
Solid move by Bell. It’s nice to see the older guys take on the the tab as opposed to forcing newcomers to pay up, right Redskins rookies?
