The Detroit Lions are hoping for a huge season from third-year wide receiver Jameson Williams, as the team has a sizeable amount of production to replace following the departure of Josh Reynolds in free agency to the Denver Broncos.

Following a strong spring showing, Williams was back on the practice field for the first day of training camp on Wednesday morning, and by at least one account, he picked up where he left off.

According to Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic, Williams "looks stronger through the middle, more explosive with better body control in the air and near the sideline. If he had one hit the dirt today, I didn't see it."

Baumgardner added that Williams, "Literally looks like a different player from a year ago today."

But things didn't go completely smoothly for Williams on Day 1 of training camp, as he apparently left briefly at the start of practice after "vomiting several times," according to Kyle Meinke of MLive.com.

Adding to that, Williams apparently puked mid-stride after reeling in a touchdown catch. Talk about overcoming adversity.

Williams attributed his vomiting to eating the wrong thing at breakfast, although he didn't go into specifics in terms of what he ate. Safe to say, whatever it was, he's going to avoid it moving forward.

So far, so good for Williams. Hopefully he can continue his strong offseason and make the leap the Lions need him to in Year 3.
