Le'Veon Bell isn't looking to change up his routine.
The Jets running back on Monday tweeted a "public service announcement" in which he defended his decision to skip the team's voluntary minicamp.
He shared a screenshot of his reply to a fan on Instagram who asked when Bell would come to practice.

"When it's time to play football..." Bell wrote. "I got to stick to the formula that I know works for me to be the best player I can be...I'm not just tryna win football games, I want a ring. I want to desperately show everybody what I can REALLY do...I'll take the heat right now, everybody will forget about that once January comes around."
The Jets held voluntary workouts from April 23-25, practicing for the first time under new coach Adam Gase, though he wasn't worried about Bell's absence.
"It’s voluntary," Gase said last month, via NJ.com. "(Bell) was here that first week (of offseason workouts), and we got a lot of good information that week to him. He has a pretty good training regimen that he goes through. He knows how to get his body ready for training camp and the regular season."
Bell sat out the entire 2018 season amid his contract holdout with the Steelers, but revealed in a March interview with Sports Illustrated he initially planned to return after Week 1 before his teammates spoke out publicly against him. Bell believed it hurt his negotiations for a long-term contract and the rest was all downhill from there.
New York's next practices are organized team activities, which are scheduled to start May 21.
The Jets' first mandatory practices are June 4-6, so it's unlikely Bell will report before then.
