Much to the chagrin of the fan base, the Las Vegas Raiders did not add a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, but they did make an addition to the room in undrafted free agency, signing South Alabama signal-caller, Carter Bradley, the son of former Raiders defensive coordinator, Gus Bradley.

After four years at Toledo, Bradley transferred to South Alabama, where he threw for 5,995 yards and 47 touchdowns to 19 interceptions while completing 66% of his passes over 24 games in two seasons. Check out Bradley slinging it in his college highlights here.

The Raiders thought highly enough of Bradley to give him a significant UDFA deal. His contract includes $125,000 guaranteed and a $25,000 signing bonus, according to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com.

In a recent article naming seven Raiders undrafted free agents to watch, Las Vegas Review-Journal's Vincent Bonsignore revealed that Bradley "has impressed thus far" thanks to his "arm strength, poise and advanced feel for the quarterback position."

Here's more from Bonsignore:

Bradley, the son of former Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, has impressed thus far. He’s stuck out thanks to his arm strength, poise and advanced feel for the quarterback position.

It makes sense that the son of an NFL defensive coordinator — Gus Bradley is now with the Colts — has a keen understanding of what defenses are trying to do. Carter Bradley isn’t much of a rushing threat, but he is a natural thrower that can stand in the pocket and distribute the football.

He has a chance to compete for the Raiders’ third quarterback job with second-year pro Anthony Brown Jr.

While the top-two spots on the depth chart are locked up with Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew competing for the starting job, there is a chance the Raiders carry a third quarterback if one of the other two can stand out.

Along with Bradley, Anthony Brown will also be competing for that potential final spot. Brown is a fellow former undrafted free agent and has just two games under his belt, both of which came in 2022 with the Baltimore Ravens, when he completed 44.9% of his passes for 302 yards and no scores to two picks.

If Bradley can continue to impress, he could very well force the Raiders to keep one more signal-caller. At the very least, he's got a great shot to end up on the practice squad.
