The Las Vegas Raiders are taking part in their first padded practice of training camp on Tuesday and one of their projected starters, right tackle Thayer Munford Jr., left early with trainers.
The news comes from Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, who notes that Munford Jr. exited "after just a few minutes." It isn't clear exactly what Munford is dealing with, though.
With Munford out, the Raiders deployed 2024 third-round pick, DJ Glaze, at right tackle. Bonsignore notes that the rookie "held his own for the most part."
Munford Jr. has long been considered the favorite for the Raiders' right tackle job, and that only grew stronger after Las Vegas didn't take an offensive tackle early in this year's draft.
Thayer Munford exited @Raiders practice after just a few minutes. Not sure what the issue was but he left the field along with trainers. Rookie DJ Glaze has taken over at RT with the 1's. He's held his own for the most part.

However, they did land on Glaze in the third round, although he has been quiet so far this offseason and figures to need a year of development before being ready. It's good to see the rookie holding his own in what are the first first-team reps he's seen in training camp.
