As a result of some of their losses in free agency, the Las Vegas Raiders may have a few more draft picks to work with during the 2025 NFL Draft.
According to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, Las Vegas is projected to receive a pair of compensatory picks next year, both of which would come in the sixth round.
You can find a full explanation of how the league determines compensatory picks right here, but it basically comes down to how many qualifying free agents a team signs and loses in an offseason.
Now, here's how Zierlein came up with Las Vegas' projection:
The losses of running back Josh Jacobs and defensive lineman Bilal Nichols are cancelled out by the signings of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins and quarterback Gardner Minshew. In addition, the signing of tight end Harrison Bryant cancels out the loss of tight end Austin Hooper.
However, there aren't any additions that cover the losses of cornerback Amik Robertson or offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor, leaving Las Vegas gaining the two sixth-rounders.
To double check on that, Over The Cap projects the same exact compensatory pick haul.
Before compensatory picks are factored in, Las Vegas will have one pick in each round of next year's NFL Draft. But as of now, they could end up with a trio of selections in the second-to-last round.
