Las Vegas Raiders OTAs: News, videos, quotes from Day 2 image

The Las Vegas Raiders kicked off their organized team activities — better known as OTAs — on Monday and the team provided a few photos and videos from their first session. Then, on Day 2 on Tuesday, Las Vegas opened things up to the media for the first time, giving us a better look at the team's practice.

The beginning of OTAs marks the start of Phase Three of the offseason program that will last four weeks. OTAs consists of 10 sessions that more closely mirrors practice during the season. Teams can hold 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, although contact is prohibited.

One player who did not participate on Tuesday was wide receiver Davante Adams, but he was in the building, so nothing to see there. Players are not required to participate in OTAs until mandatory minicamp, which begins on June 11.

Here's who else was not spotted taking part on Day 2, per The Athletic's Tashan Reed: RB Zamir White, RB Ameer Abdullah, WR Michael Gallup, WR Davante Adams, WR Jalen Guyton, WR Tulu Griffin, LT Kolton Miller, DE Ron Stone Jr., DT Matthew Butler, DT Nesta Jade Silvera, CB Jack Jones.

Reed adds that Miller was working off to the side, which is usually a sign that a player is working through injury. He also reported that second-round pick and guard, Jackson Powers-Johnson, left practice early with an injury.

Now, a look at what the Raiders released from the session on Monday that was not open to the media, and then all of photos, videos and quotes we could round up courtesy of beat reporters who were on the ground on Tuesday.

Quotes

OC Luke Getsy on Bowers

“He was probably the best player in the SEC for a couple of years there," Getsy said. "This league is about finding as many dynamic guys as you can. He is just one of those elements that gives up and opportunity to do a bunch of different things."

The Raiders will get a day off on Wednesday before returning to the practice field on Thursday. The full schedule for OTAs is as follows: May 20-21, May 23, May 28-29, May 31, June 3-6.
