Along with 24 other teams, the Las Vegas Raiders began their offseason workout program on Monday, April 15, but the Raiders had a distinction that the two dozen other teams did not have: Las Vegas has a new full-time head coach.
Because of a little-known rule, the Raiders were the only team to hire a new full-time head coach this offseason that wasn't able to start its offseason program a week early. The rule states that a team may not start its offseason program early if the new head coach was the interim for more than two games the season prior.
Despite that, Raiders players were already in the building putting in work before the official start of the program, which is a great sign for head coach Antonio Pierce and Co.
The Raiders are in the midst of Phase One of the program which, per NFL.com, "consists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only."
Now, what you came for: the photos and videos from the first week-plus of the offseason program.
