Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby has cemented himself as one of the best at his position in the NFL in recent years after tallying 35 sacks and three Pro Bowl nods since 2021.
As a result of his ascension, he's making a massive leap up the list of the top-100 NFL players put together by CBS Sports' Pete Prisco. Crosby lands at No. 11, a whopping 27 spots higher than where he was last year.
Here's what Prisco said about Crosby:
He had 14 1/2 sacks and was among the league leaders in pressures, showing off an ability to take over a game. His relentless play should put him in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation again this season. (Last season: No. 38)
The scary thing is, Crosby may not have hit his ceiling yet. He has a great shot to be even better in 2024 after the Raiders added more help upfront in Christian Wilkins, and with Malcolm Koonce coming off a breakout season.
Crosby wasn't the only Raider to make the cut on Prisco's list, though. Wide receiver Davante Adams landed at No. 26, falling nine spots from 2023. Adams had a down season production-wise, but that was hardly his fault with the lackluster situation under center and the midseason firing of Josh McDaniels.
Last but not least, the aforementioned Wilkins was ranked No. 78, down four spots from where he was prior to last season. That's a peculiar decision considering the Clemson product is coming off his best season as a pro.
