How Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis tricked Derek Carr with a Ferrari image

Former Las Vegas Raiders and current New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr was recently a guest on a podcast and told a story about how Raiders owner Mark Davis actually tricked him into thinking he would buy the signal-caller a Ferrari.

Carr told the story on the "Pardon My Take" podcast and revealed that when he inked his first deal with the Raiders, Davis, who had a mutual interest in cars with Carr, told the quarterback that he would buy him a Ferrari.

But when Davis showed up to Carr's house one day, he revealed it was all a joke. No surprise, Carr took it all in stride.

"So when I signed my first contract with him, he's like, 'I'm going to buy you a car,'" Carr said. "I was like, 'Alright, sick. Do I need to take it out of the deal?' He's like, 'No, don't even worry about it. A Ferrari, got you.' I'm like, 'Sick, man,' because we always talk about cars together.

"And so, he's like, 'I'm coming over.' So he comes over and he pulls out this car about this big, it's a Ferrari. He's like, 'I got it for your kids, I already gave you enough money.' But I was like, 'This dude's awesome.'"

Not cool, but awesome at the same time. Who knew Davis had that kind of savage sense of humor? Anyway, we can't feel too bad for Carr, as he's made more than enough money during his career to buy 10 Ferraris.

Carr will meet his old team for the first time this season when the Saints host the Raiders in Week 17.
