Every player in the NFL has his most and least favorite places to play and teams to play against, and for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, it looks like his might be the Washington Commanders.
Adams was a guest on "Hot Ones Versus" with Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recently, and the two receivers were tasked with either eating a spicy wing or revealing which team had the worst fans. Both chose to avoid eating the wing.
In his response, Adams listed off the fan bases he thought were the most disrespectful, a group that included the Philadelphia Eagles', the New England Patriots' and Buffalo Bills'.
But he went in on the Washington Commanders' fan base the most.
"They're obviously just miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all," Adams said of Commanders fans. "I'm probably going to get somebody at my front door after this, but that's just how I feel."
It's hard to blame Commanders fans for being so upset. After all, their franchise was a total disaster during the Daniel Snyder era. Thankfully, that era has come to an end, giving fans new hope in the future of the franchise.
Adams faced off against the Washington franchise four times during his days with the Green Bay Packers, with two of those games coming in Washington in 2016 and 2018.
And he hasn't had much success there, with the veteran wideout tallying 10 catches for 94 yards and one touchdown over those two contests. He has never totaled more than 76 yards in a single game against Washington, home or away.
Unfortunately, the Raiders do not have a road game against the Commanders on their schedule in 2024, otherwise it would have been made a lot more interesting by Adams' comment.
