The deadline for the Las Vegas Raiders to cut their roster down to 53 players has come and gone, and now the team will turn its attention to shoring up any holes remaining on either side of the ball.
For the Raiders, wide receiver and cornerback are the two biggest concerns on the roster heading into the season. Thankfully, there are a slew of new options available after the cutdown deadline.
Granted, there aren't going to be any real game-changers out there, but the Raiders can try and improve their situation through free agency and waivers with so many players added to both buckets now that all teams have trimmed their rosters.
But before we get to that point, let's take a look at the Raiders' initial 53-man roster, as well as the biggest surprises from it.

Las Vegas Raiders 53-man roster surprises
Jalen Guyton cut
Guyton was no great shakes this offseason, but he at least offered an experienced depth option in the passing game, something the Raiders are lacking on their initial 53-man roster.
Kristian Wilkerson cut
No Wilkerson is a bigger surprise, as he was actually one of the more consistent wide receivers during the preseason and was one of the more experienced options in the group.
Two UDFAs make the cut
Undrafted free agents always face an uphill climb in making a 53-man roster, but the Raiders actually had two of them make the cut in wide receiver Ramel Keyton and linebacker Amari Gainer. Keyton was a bigger surprise than Gainer, though, but both were impressive during the preseason.
Seven linebackers kept
Considering the Raiders only kept five linebackers on their initial 53-man roster last year, seven is a lot. However, the only real surprise from that group is Kana'i Mauga.
