Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter was found not guilty Tuesday of an assault and battery charge, the Tennessean reported.
Hunter initially faced felony charges in the wake of an incident at a Virginia Beach, Va. bar during Fourth of July weekend, but the charge was recently reduced to a misdemeanor.

Prosecutors said at Hunter's arraignment that the receiver initiated the fight and punched a man twice in the face, breaking his jaw.
Hunter's attorneys said another person actually threw the punch in question, but the Tennessean reported that person failed to appear at a scheduled court hearing Sept. 1, resulting in the case being continued to Tuesday.
Those proceedings resulted in a Virginia judge finding Hunter not guilty after a four-hour trial, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
Prosecutors released a statement that read: "The Commonwealth respects this ruling although we disagree with it. It is our belief we had sufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt."
Hunter had remained active for the Titans while the legal process played out. He had one catch for 11 yards in Sunday's season-opening win against the Buccaneers.
