The Ravens decided to get younger at running back Saturday when they released projected starter Justin Forsett, according to ESPN.
Forsett, 30, made a splash in his first season with the Ravens in 2014 when he rushed for a career-high 1,266 yards, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. He also added eight touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Forsett, injuries cost him six games last season, and the Ravens decided they had better, younger options this season.
Terrance West, who impressed during the preseason, will likely step into a starting role and is an intriguing fantasy option. Kenneth Dixon — who is currently out with a knee injury — and Buck Allen will also get carries.
A number of teams are in need of running back depth, so Forsett — being just two years removed from his marvelous season — should soon find a job. However, his days as a feature back are likely over.
