As we race ever closer to the 2024 NFL Draft on April 25, rumors have increasingly swirled around the league about Bears QB Justin Fields' next team. Not surprisingly, the chatter around the Bears' pivot has impacted the betting futures markets considerably.
Let's discuss what we know about Fields' odds and potential landing spot, and what it all could mean for his future in the NFL.

Justin Fields trade rumors
As of Monday, the "next team" odds for Fields have been removed from all the major sportsbooks, including BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars.
As many within the sports betting community suggest, the removal of odds generally means at least one of three things:
- The outcome of the bet might have already taken place.
- The sportsbooks don't want to take on any more liability on a certain bet.
- A trade has become increasingly likely, and the books fear a news leak about the move will exploit them.
So, where's the super-athletic QB headed? Let's take a look at the rumors and the narrative offered by the most recent odds and activity.
Justin Fields' next team landing spots
The majority of the unofficial talk among most of the major NFL pundits has centered around Fields being dealt to the Falcons, with the Steelers and Raiders also coming up in many conversations.
If the Bears pull the trigger on a move, they would then presumably select a quarterback in next month's draft with projected No. 1 QB Caleb Williams among the favorites. The trade could also give Chicago some complementary pieces using the draft capital it'll land from its trading partner.
At last glance on DraftKings Sportsbook, the former Ohio State stud was hovering around -425 to land with the Falcons, +250 to stay with the Bears, and +450 to end up with the Steelers. The -425 odds translate to an implied probability of over 80 percent.
It would come as a surprise if Chicago opted to stay the course with the 24-year-old, whose career win-loss record after three seasons stands at 11-29.

Justin Fields contract details
Fields will enter the final year of his rookie contract in the fall, a very team-friendly $1.6 million base salary. He'll have a roster bonus of $1.6 million. All said the 11th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft will yield a total cap of $6 million for the 2024 NFL season. Needless to say, he'll likely be looking for a raise following this prove-it year.
To many NFL franchises in need of a QB, that's an intriguing price tag with loads of upside. Others would probably rather draft their next signal-caller.
Only time will tell where Fields lands, but it's safe to say we won't be able to bet on it from here on out.
